Implementing Emerging Concrete Materials - Barriers and Actionable Strategies Across the Concrete Pavement Value Chain

The purpose of this project was to identify key barriers across the concrete pavement value chain and define actionable strategies to accelerate the adoption of alternative supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs), blended cements, alternative cements, and other nontraditional materials and technologies related to concrete production, placement, curing, and monitoring. The final report provides a practical, stakeholder-focused roadmap to enable scalable implementation and support industry-wide efforts to address the limited domestic supply of traditional SCMs while meeting environmental, cost-effectiveness, durability, and performance requirements for concrete infrastructure
