The ACI Foundation is pleased to announce a series of generous fellowship and scholarship pledges that will strengthen its support for the next generation of concrete industry professionals. These commitments, including one newly established and four renewed, reflect the continued dedication of donors who share a vision for a thriving, innovative future in concrete.
Each pledge spans five years, providing sustained funding that allows talented students to pursue their education, gain hands-on experience, and connect with professionals across the industry.
New and Renewed Pledges
Casimir J. Bognacki New Jersey Chapter Fellowships (Newly Established)
A new five-year pledge establishes funding for three Casimir J. Bognacki New Jersey Chapter Fellowships. These awards support students pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in civil engineering at a college or university in New Jersey who demonstrate a clear interest in concrete through their academic coursework. Recipients also engage directly with the New Jersey Chapter, deepening their ties to the local concrete community.
Baker Construction Fellowships (Renewed)
A renewed five-year pledge continues support for three Baker Construction Fellowships. These fellowships were first established in 2007 and are awarded to undergraduate students pursuing degrees in concrete industry management, civil engineering, structural engineering, or construction management, with an interest in hands-on building environments. Recipients complete an internship as part of the fellowship, gaining valuable real-world experience.
Nicholas F. Maloof, Jr. Georgia Chapter Fellowship (Renewed)
The Nicholas F. Maloof, Jr. Georgia Chapter Fellowship receives a renewed five-year pledge. This award was first established in 2021 and supports graduate and undergraduate students pursuing advanced study related to the concrete industry, with a focus on construction or building material sciences. Preference is given to students connected to Georgia through their academic background.
Barbara S. & W. Calvin McCall Carolinas Chapter Fellowship (Renewed)
A renewed five-year pledge sustains the Barbara S. & W. Calvin McCall Carolinas Chapter Fellowship. This fellowship was first established in 2014 and supports graduate students in construction, design, or materials programs. Recipients are active members of ACI Student Chapters at leading universities across North Carolina and South Carolina.
Nick Bada ACI Ontario Chapter Scholarship (Renewed)
The Nick Bada ACI Ontario Chapter Scholarship also receives a renewed five-year pledge. This scholarship was first established in 2021 and supports Canadian graduate students enrolled in concrete-related programs who have completed a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, helping them advance their studies and careers in the field.
